Rebar corrosion inside the shell
Chlorinated water penetrates micro-cracks and reaches the steel reinforcement. Once corrosion starts, it expands the rebar, spalling the concrete from within — a structural problem that only gets worse.
Tile debonding & surface failure
Water trapped behind tiles creates hydrostatic pressure from the back side. Tiles pop off, grout crumbles, and the finish deteriorates — turning a cosmetic issue into a full re-tiling job.
Recurring leaks after patching
Quick-fix sealants and epoxy injections fail within months because they treat symptoms, not the system. The same leak returns — and you pay for another repair that won't last.

For a standard residential pool, the full treatment takes 7-10 working days including draining, shell inspection, crack repair, surface preparation, primer, membrane application with curing between coats, and the 48-72 hour water retention test. We'll give you an exact timeline after the inspection.
It depends on the tile condition. If tiles are firmly bonded and the issue is behind them, we can apply the membrane system over the existing surface. But if tiles are hollow, debonded, or cracked, we recommend removing them first — applying waterproofing over a failing substrate won't last.
Positive side means applying the membrane on the water-facing surface (inside the pool). Negative side means treating the outer surface of the shell where groundwater pushes in. For pools, we typically treat from the positive side, but use materials rated for negative-side pressure so the system handles hydrostatic force from both directions.
Yes. The membrane systems we use are chemically resistant to both chlorinated and salt-chlorinated pool water. We select materials specifically tested for continuous chemical exposure — not generic coatings that degrade in pool chemistry.
We fill the pool and monitor the water level at multiple marked points over 48-72 hours. Any loss beyond normal evaporation means the treatment hasn't passed — and we fix it before handover. You get the test data in your completion report alongside before/after photos and material batch numbers.
